An expert panel set up by the European airport council ACI has selected Copenhagen Airport the best and most efficient in Europe.

The reasons are that Copenhagen Airport focuses on passenger service and has attractive terminals with excellent shopping facilities. The panel consists of airport CEOs, travel reporters, consultants and spokesmen for disabled persons, the airport writes in a press release.

Niels Boserup, President & CEO of Copenhagen Airports, was presented with the award at the ACI’s general assembly in Athens just recently. Earlier this year – and for five consecutive years - Copenhagen Airport was awarded the best in Europe in the annual AETRA survey, where passengers in airports all over the world are being asked.

“Most valuable to us is the passengers’ opinion but it is also important to be recognised by other professionals,” says Niels Boserup. “The efforts to improve conditions for disabled passengers will go on. During the next year we expect to have a central operation that will help these travellers on behalf on all airlines.”
