The accessible health hotel Mar y Sol is located in the southwest of Tenerife, Canary Islands. Mar y Sol lies approximately 300m away from the 8km long sea-promenade and is constructed on a slight ground elevation and built on different levels around an impressive pool area.
The architecture of Mar y Sol comprises a Spanish-style construction, built on two and three levels accessible throughout by lifts. The few steps you come across within the complex can be avoided using ramps.
Access Studio
Sleeps up to two people. Comfortable sofa-bed in
the lounge area. Wheel-in Kitchenette with fridge, balcony or terrace, bathroom
with wheel-in shower and toilet.
Apartment
Sleeps up to four people: twin beds in bedroom,
living room with comfortable sofa-bed, wheel-in Kitchenette with fridge,
balcony or terrace, bathroom with wheel-in shower and toilet and in some cases
with bath.
Superior Apartment
New construction, spacious and modern,
sleeps up to four people. Twin beds in bedroom, living room with comfortable
sofa-bed, wheel-in Kitchenette with fridge, balcony or terrace, bathroom with
wheel-in shower and toilet. Non-smokers option.
Studios or apartments can be provided with a wide variety of aid-equipment from the Service Station LeRo if requested. (i.e. shower/toilet chair, electric adjustable beds etc.)
For lunch choose from the restaurant menu and if you want a mouth-watering meal for dinner help yourself at our varied buffet.
Special diets, such as vegetarian, can be served on request.
For your convenience the Restaurant has non-smokers and smokers area.
Every week there is a dinner entertainment program in the restaurant ranging from Spanish folk singing, Flamenco show, Karaoke and live music.
One of the big pools (10,80 m x 16,80 m) is heated all year through at approximately 32ºC and provides neck-showers, whirlpools, water cascades, Jacuzzi’s and massage showers.
The second big pool (10,60 m x 14,60 m) has a depth rising from 1:10 m to 2 m. and a water temperature that is kept approximately between 22 ºC and 25º C. This pool is the favourite for sporty swimmers.
The therapy pool (5,70 m x 10,70m) is 50 cm deep and has handrails along one side for the purpose of movement therapy. The water temperature in this pool is also kept approximately between 22ºC and 25ºC.
For your comfort, the pool area has a large number of sun beds that are specially designed for Mar y Sol. Their height allows wheelchair users to transfer easily onto the sun beds and the large sunshades and palm trees shelter the area from the sun.
Even the pool area is provided with a non-smoking area.
For the safety of all swimming pool users, a lifeguard supervises the pool 8 hours a day.
