Eria Resort's accessible minibus

The Eria Resort is specially designed with disabled people in mind. The resort is located in the historic village of Maleme, of Crete Greece, in an area of unique natural beauty.

The resort is surrounded by olive groves and offers an unobstructed view of the Cretan sea. The fine architecture of the resort, apart from the functionalism, safety and comfort, promotes the natural light in abundance.

Accommodation

The fine decoration of the eleven two-bed rooms and two suites of the Eria Resort is unique to each room and suite. All first-storey rooms are accessible by lift.

One of the beds in all the rooms and suites is electrically adjustable.

The bathrooms are convenient and specially designed.

They are all equipped with shower, shower chair, horizontal and vertical bars and adjustable raised toilet seat.

Our suites can accommodate up to four people.

From the balcony of your room you can enjoy the beautiful view of the cretan sea and the boundless olive groves that surround our hotel.

Bar

The bar is open from 8am to midnight, providing a wide selection of coffees, refreshments, aperitifs, drinks, cocktails (alcoholic or not), desserts and ice-creams.

Dining Facilities

An embellished area near the pool accommodates the bar and restaurant.

On the first floor there is the indoor restaurant with a lovely view to the sea and the surrounding olive groves.

The bar is open from 8am to midnight, providing a wide selection of coffees, refreshments, aperitifs, drinks, cocktails (alcoholic or not), desserts and ice-creams.

The restaurant is at your disposal at any time between 8:00am and 9:30pm.

Breakfast is selected from a wide menu and is served as a buffet between 8:00am and 10:30am. Breakfast is served in rooms between7:30am and 11:00am.

After 11:00am, a wide variety of cold dishes, salads, sandwiches and other daily dishes shall be are at call if you desire a light snack.

Dinner is once again a selection from an extensive menu (a la carte) and is served between 7:00pm and 9:30pm.

The resort also arranges evenings of typical greek entertainment with traditional Cretan and Greek cuisine.

Room service is at your disposal around the clock.

Local Attractions

The venetian port and old town district of Chania are the main areas of interest for all visitors. Impressive architectural elements spanning multiple eras, starting from Minoan times and subject to multiple cultural influences, including Byzantine, Arabic, Venetian, Jewish, Ottoman adorn the picturesque port's streets, alleys and plazas. Massive dockyards and former powder-magazines are used today as cultural centers for a wide variety of events and host the Center of Mediterrenean Architecture. In the midst of the newer section of the city stands the Agora (market place) which has been for years an important outlet for traditional, domestic products.

Other Information

Transportation from and to the airport or the harbour is easily and safely conducted using the hotel's specially adapted mini-bus. The mini-bus, with a capacity of fifteen people, has a wheelchair lift and the arrangement of the interior is as follows; behind the driver and co-driver there are eight passenger seats and following the walkway there are two places for wheelchairs and in the rear, depending on wheelchair type, there are two or three extra places.

The stop for intercity buses is 50 metres from the hotel, with a bus to Chania or other locations at 15 or 30 minute intervals.

Taxi hiring and car rentals can be arranged at the reception desk.
