La Sonrisa, Nr Benidorm, Costa Blanca
Welcome to La Sonrisa Bungalows. Anna and Jan Niemeijer for some years, were dreaming of building a place to provide disabled people the opportunity to experience a wonderful, fully accessible holiday. A few years ago they found the perfect, peaceful place that fulfilled all of their wishes, La Sonrisa (means smile).
Location
Located a short distance from the ancient village of Finestrat. This place also offers a nice panoramic view of the sea, the hills of the Puig Campana, and is a few kilometers from the popular holiday town of Benidorm. Although there is a steep driveway to the properties due to the location, the owner is willing to assist any clients who need help.
Accommodation
Accommodation is functional rather than luxurious . All of the air-conditioning accommodations offer similar facilities such as twin beds, wardrobes, patio, safe, satellite TV, radio and CD player. The bathrooms are equipped with a level-entry shower with grab rails and the toilet has a removable raised seat and drop-down grab rails. There is a 2cm lip on the door between the patio and the living room. The owners also offers for free; wheelchairs, toilet chairs, manual and electric hoists and rollators, shower stretchers, bed heighteners, electric high-low beds and monkey poles.
- Bungalow A: A two bedroom accommodation. One bedroom has a dressing table for small children and there is a plastic seat fixed to the wall in the shower.
- Bungalow B: A two bedroom accommodation. This apartment has one bed and toilet at wheelchair height and the shower chair is adjustable.
- Bungalow C: A three bedroom accommodation. This apartment is on a lower
level than A and B and offers more privacy as well as a movable shower seat.
- Bungalow D: A two bedroom accommodation offering similar facilities.
- Bungalow E: A one bedroom accommodation offering similar facilities.
Swimming Pools
The swimming pool, with a depth that varies between (1,20m to 1,70m), is joined by a little bath (50 cm) for the youngest among our guests. The electrically manipulated hoist helps wheelchair users or people with walking difficulties in and out of the water.

Beaches
The two beaches in Benidorm, the Poniente beach extends from the port to the headland known as Cabezo del Tosal and Levante Beach between Punta Pinet and Punta Canfali are adapted with all necessary facilities to people with reduced mobility.
Food and Drink
At your arrival, we offer you a free package of food and beverage. So there is no need for an immediate rush to the local supermarket. On Monday evening we offer our guests a free barbecue. During this event we welcome our new guests with free food and drinks. The bungalows are all equipped for a self-catering holiday with an American style kitchen that includes a fridge-freezer and gas stove. Benidorm itself has a lot of bars, restaurants and night life.
Half board meal arrangement now available.
Other Amenities
Adapted vehicles to rent, Airport pick-up service, excursions, babysitting, laundry machine. A certified carer is always available and on request. Special nursing can be arranged.

From the 3rd till the 6th person the price is euro 100,00 per week. Children
under 16 are free, they only have to pay for towels and bedsheets, euro
12,50 per week.
Prices for 1 or 2 or 3 bedroom bungalows are the same.
