Welcome to Les Cerises an elegant accessible villa. The property is comfortably furnished to provide self-contained accommodation either for parties of 2/5 persons or for larger groups of up to 8 persons.

Location

Situated in a beautiful hamlet, just 5 minutes drive from the market town of Jonzac. The property is in the heart of the Charente- Maritime region, the second sunniest region of France, which makes it the ideal place for a holiday at any time of the year. Bordeaux is just an hour's drive to the south, where you can enjoy the shops in this bustling city, or a day tasting wine in St Emillion, famous for its wonderful rich clarets.

Accommodation

The house has been tastefully decorated and is furnished in keeping with its stylish appearance. The large lounge/dining area provides ample comfortable seating and there is a TV with DVD and CD equipment for the quiet nights in.

The property has 3 bedrooms, two of the bedrooms are twin bedded and the third a double, just right for parents, children and the grandparents. There is also a cot and high chair available free of charge. And, of course, the second lounge with its large sofa bed can sleep an extra two persons, so making the property suitable for two families holidaying together.

The house has 2 bathrooms, one has a bath and shower and the other a level-entry shower and grab rails by the WC. There is an additional separate WC. There is a laundry room with washing machine and dryer. There is a garage attached to the house and there is space to safely park three additional cars. Guests are requested not to smoke in the house.

Swimming

Jonzac is not only beautifully historic but also boasts a brand new water centre - based on natural hot springs.

Beach

Royan, at the head of the Gironde Estuary, is only 40 minutes drive away. Beautiful golden sands and a long promenade make it the perfect place to enjoy the French hobby of people watching in one of the many cafes. Hire a shelter for the day and enjoy a day on the beach with your family, take a boat ride or just enjoy its numerous restaurants and shops. More chic than cheap.

Food and Drink

The property is self-catering and the kitchen is accessible and is fully equipped with an electric cooker and a dishwasher. On the terrace you will find garden table and chairs and BBQ equipment. A welcome pack will greet guests and if required an advance shopping service is available.

For those who want to explore away from the accommodation, nearby the town of Jonzac is home to a large Château, an indoor market, many bars, restaurants and shops. The visitors every need is catered for, while retaining the charm of a rural town.

Other Places of Interest

Famous for the production of Cognac, you can sample the local "brew" at the farm opposite Les Cerises. Or for the more discerning you can follow the Route des Vignobles and visit some of the other producers or perhaps tour one of the larger houses at Jarnac or Cognac.
